Comfort of beds. Excellent central location. Ateljee Bar has wonderful views over Helsinki. Decor/design of rooms different to average hotel - different styles - Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Functionalist. Lovely detail on windows and walls. Pleasant courtyard next to their Irish bar with live music often including Irish sessions. We were upgraded free as we were staying for 5 nights. Lovely room.
Lifts are inadequate at times especially late afternoon and early evening when streams of people visit the Ateljee bar on 14th floor!!! Very popular in spite of the huge prices for drinks!!! Sitting outside on the two terraces makes up for it though. Lot of building work outside the hotel on other buildings, but as we were on the 4th floor noise did not affect us.
The combination of authentic historic design and central location without too many irritating business-hotell frills
ideal location in the heart of the city ; superior rooms are great
bathrooms are really small and toilets are just in the middle...breakfast is correct nothing more..
Hotel staff was excellent and a breakfast was good.
We had to change a room twice. First room they gave us was dark and small. There was not enough draws to keep your clothing. The second room they showed us was bigger, but equally there were not enough space to keep your luggage. Generally rooms were clean, but our cleaner was lousy. She did not bother to replace dirty glasses without asking her to. She forgot old towles on our room floor.
The location was excellent, you could also use the hotel as a landmark as it really stood out. The 14th floor bar gave you an amazing view of Helsinki and definitely worth a visit. The rooms were stylish, clean and spacious. Helsinki is an expensive city but compared to many other places this was good value for money.
Hotel and service is over all excellent, but "American bar" at the bottom floor must be mentioned specially. Service, staff and management of bar at the bottom floor is outstanding. Great staaf, nice drinks, wine and food in a Very comfortable and relaxed environment. This in it self will bring me back to Torni next time in Helsinki! Try it, you will like it!
Good bed, nice decor in room, good breakfast table, splendid food in restaurant, warm tiles, warm hangers for towels, big shower stall, distance to metro and shopping centres, quiet, individual air-con
The room was spacious and good. The staff are attentive. They are very short spoken but this is....just the way they are. I would return there on future trips to Helsinki.
The room defenitely needed a more through dusting.
The original architecture, and good atmosphere
Being British, it would have been good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room!
The perfect location for my plans & the design of the hotelroom.
The busy elevator & the long way from the breakfast buffet to a table.
Great staff - very friendly, great location - just a few steps to Mannerheimintie, great rooms - I booked for superior but stayed in suite - it's really big. Nice design. Very quiet. Wonderful beds - can't remember I've ever slept better. I'm going to stay in Torni again and again.
Location was great, good value for money, the staff were very helpful.
The windows of the room we stayed in the 2nd floor didn't opened. They are not prepared for the few weeks of the year that the city is hot, the room had no proper air conditioning for cooling.
Very good location, close to the center, good views (stayed on 7-th floor), good breakfast.
The staff really treat you as a guest and its not like staying in a "formula" hotel
The lifts sometimes stress me out :)
Air conditioning did not work, at least in room 605
